William H. Tessmer entered eternal peace at age 92 at Hospice of The Valley, Scottsdale on Feb. 1, 2009. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on Aug. 25, 1916 and baptized a Roman Catholic. He celebrated his 66 years of marriage to Ruth W. Tessmer, nee Jones. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; four sons, William (Renate), Bob, Neil and Dale. He was preceded in death by his daughter Susan Russetti and was the sole survivor of his siblings. He adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He served in the US Army in Europe during WW ll. He was employed for 30 years by Republic Steel/LTV Steel and retired as the general foreman in the open Hearth Division in Cleveland, Ohio. In June 1976, he moved to Fountain Hills where he enjoyed walking and golfing. He instilled in his children honesty, perseverance, to be respectful and hard working. A memorial scripture was held, Saturday, Feb. 7, at Messinger Fountain Hills Mortuary Chapel, 12065 N. Saguaro Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Hospice of The Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ. 85014-5656. Fountain Hills Times February 4, 2009. |
