Ronald Anthony Lemon

Ronald Anthony Lemon, beloved husband, father, grandfather and good friend to many, passed away on Nov. 13, 2007 at his home in Fountain Hills.

Ron was born Oct. 12, 1946 in Pittsburgh, Pa. to Anthony and Josephine Lemon. He retired after 30 years as a lead mechanic for the airlines. IN 2003 he retired from his second career as a sergeant for the Fountain Hills Marshals Department.

Ron enjoyed being very active in his community and his commitment to volunteerism can be seen in the numerous causes to which he contributed.

He served as past president of the Fountain Hills Rotary, and was involved in Habitat for Humanity. In addition, he was serving as vice president of the Fountain Hills Automobile Club.

Further, Ron acted as a board member of the Arizona Law enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. Another example of Ron’s dedication to services is in his involvement with the board for the AIA Football Association of the Greater Phoenix Area, and his participation in AIA Valley high school basketball as an official.

True to his philanthropic form, Ron volunteered for many years with the Commemorative Air Force, Arizona Wing in Mesa. Ron Lemon was a valued participant in his community and his endless effort to help others is an inspiration to all.

He leaves behind the love of his life, wife of 35 years, Jane; two daughters, Tammy (Charles) Vaughn of Gettysburg, Pa., and Kimberly (John) Norton of Fountain Hills; and four grandchildren, Ryan, Charlie, Zachary and Elizabeth.

There will be a celebration of Ron’s life at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007 at Christ’s Church of Fountain Hills.
