C. W. Keys
Founder of Business Which Still Bears His
Name, And Father Of Lisle Keys, Summoned

Funeral services for Charles W. Keys, founder of the Keys Indian Store here and father of Lisle Keys, will be held in Glendale, Calif., Sunday. The 83-year-old man, who lived in the Wickenburg area from 1929 until his retirement in 1946 and served on the Town Council in 1944 and 1945, died at his home in Ontario, Calif., last Sunday. Burial will be in Bartley, Neb., beside the graves of his parents.

To Arizona in 1921
Mr. Keys, who was born in Titus, Pa., in 1869, went to Nebraska with his parents while a child. He later lived in Wyoming before moving to Kingman in 1921. He also lived in Holbrook, and came to the Wickenburg area in 1929, first operating the Cactus Garden Lodge east of town. In 1936 he established the Keys Indian Store, the business which is now being operated in the same location by his son, Lisle Keys. He moved to Ontario, Calif., upon his retirement in 1946.

Two sons Survive
In addition to the Wickenburg son, he is survived by one other son, Dale Keys, of Manhattan Beach, Calif. Mrs. Keys died in 1937 in Hudson, Wyo.

Lisle Keys and daughter Shirley will attend the services in California
