Thomas L. Meyer, Jr., 77, of Fountain Hills, died in a bicycle accident on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007. Tom was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and lived most of his life in Columbus, Ohio where he practiced orthopedics for over 30 years. He graduated from The University of Notre Dame in 1951 and Northwestern Medical School in 1955 where he was a member of the AOA Honorary Fraternity. He completed his internship at Denver General Hospital and his orthopedic residency at The Ohio State University. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Mary “Flynnie,” their four children Tim, Tom (Mindy), Jenny (Ken Amicon), Kathy (Mike Conger) and eight grandchildren. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 3, at 10 a.m. at Fire Rock Country Club in Fountain Hills.
