Barbara E. (McNeil) Cetto, Black Canyon City, AZ, 68, died Friday, January 21, at her home in Black Canyon City from complications of a long-standing chronic pulmonary condition. Her Arizona family, friends and health care nurses and therapists helped to make her last days peaceful. A visitation and rosary will take place at the Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E. Greenway Road, Phoenix, from 5pm to 8pm on Tuesday, January 25. Rosary will be at 7:00pm. A funeral mass will be held beginning at 10am, Wednesday, January 26, at the St. Phillip Benizi Catholic Church, in Black Canyon City. Burial will follow at the Black Canyon City Community Cemetery along side of her husband, Clement "Clem" J. Cetto. Barbara was born in Milwaukee, WI, March 23, 1936. She moved with her family to Hartland, WI, in 1940, where she attended grade school and high school. She also attended Marquette University. She worked in the business office of the Hornburg Ford Motor Co. in Hartland until 1972. At that time for health reasons she moved to Black Canyon City. In 1975, she married Clem and made their home there. They were active in a variety of community organizations and together raised and trained dogs--initially Irish Setters and later (until the present) miniature, standard and giant schnauzers. This was an avocation Barbara continued up to the time of her death. She also operated a Farmer's Insurance Agency in Black Canyon City during the late 1970's and early 1980's. She was a 50+ year member of the Hartland American Legion Post 294 Auxiliary and served as its president in 1971. In addition to her husband, Barbara was preceded in death by her brother, Robert L. McNeil, Whitewater, WI, and her parents, Robert L. and Elizabeth B. McNeil, Hartland, WI. She is survived by her brothers, Donald L. (Mildred) McNeil, Hartland, WI, James E. (Jean) McNeil, Santa Barbara, CA, sister-in-law, Audrey McNeil, Whitewater, WI, a stepdaughter, Phyllis (Maurice) Shaw, Phoenix, a step grandson, Justin Shaw, special friends, Catherine Brockman, Mesa, Shirley and Rick Logan and Marge and Tim Logan, Black Canyon City, and many nieces, nephews and friends. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions in Barbara's name to the American Lung Association, 102 West McDowell Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85003 or St. Phillip Benizi Catholic Church, Box 138, Black Canyon City, AZ 85324.
