Ellen Mae (John) Clark

Ellen Mae Clark, 71, died Monday, May 25, 2009, in Flagstaff. She was born April 20, 1938, in Indian Wells to Charlie John and Evelyn Spencer John.

Ellen was a very devoted Christian who enjoyed leading music at her church. Her grandchildren were very important to her - her goal was to help them improve their lives.

She always had a beautiful smile and plenty of love for everyone. Ellen enjoyed raising livestock with her husband and making traditional Navajo foods. Always willing to help others who were in need.

She is survived by her husband, Francis Clark; three children, James Lee Clark, Alfred Clark and Mark Clark; five brothers and sisters, Fred Spencer, Lester John, Alvin John, Phyllis Ruskin and Eva Kee; 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Paul Jones Clark, brother Frank E. John and aunt and uncle Alice and Joe Clah.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, May 30, at the Broken Arrow Assembly of God Church in Indian Wells. Interment will be in the Clark Family Cemetery in Indian Wells.

Owens Livingston Mortuary of Holbrook handled the arrangements.
