The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona April 15, 1940 To Hold Mass For Holbleib (Halbleib) High requiem Mass will be conducted for John Holbleib, Arizona pioneer who died Friday, at Sacred Heart church tomorrow morning at 9:30 o'clock. The Rev. Fr. Arthur Crook will officiate. Mr. Holblieb was born September 6, 1858 in Spencer county, Indiana, the son of John and Clara Holbleib. The early-day settler came to the state in 1888 and settled at Needles, on the Arizona-California border. He was a miner and for many years operated a fruit farm. Mr. Holbleib became a guest of the Arizona Pioneer Home September 28, 1931. He leaves to daughters, Mrs. Clara Jehle and Mrs. Mamie Keifer, both of Montgomery, Alabama.
