Published in Today's News-Herald on Nov. 9, 2018 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - William “Bill” Thomas Peer, 79, passed away in Lake Havsu City on October 18, 2018 surrounded by his loving wife of 59 years and his loved ones. He was born in Duluth, Minnesota on May 31, 1939. Bill moved to Lake Havasu City from Fountain Valley, California. Bill enjoyed fishing for Walleye at Big Sandy Lake in Minnesota, boating, camping, Friday beers with his sons-in-law, Junior and Ronne, gambling, playing cards with his family and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hollis and Mary Catherine Peer, and his sisters Carole Purdue and Barbara Hays. Bill is survived by his loving wife; Beth Peer, son; Mark Peer, daughters; Kim Denton, Lori Benjamin and Wendy Villarroel, brother; Scott Peer5, 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and his beloved dog; Pepper. Bill will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Services were entrusted to the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
