Published in Today's News Herald on Nov. 13, 2018 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Cuz, Arlene (Somohano), 77, of Lake Havasu City, formerly of Flushing, Michigan, peacefully passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018 at the Polidori Hospice House of Lake Havasu City with her family at her side. An Arizona memorial service will be held on December 9 at 1pm, at the Lake Havasu City Elks Lodge #2399. A Michigan memorial service is being planned for the late spring 2019. Always smiling, Arlene was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Michael Paul Cuz; her brother John Joseph(Carol); her sister in law Linda Blackburn; her two children Ryan and Tracey, her 7 grandchildren Nicholas(Jessica), Paul(Amber), Ashley(Jory), Michael (Jessica), Christopher(Jessica), Andrew and Joseph, her great- grandchild Presley, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Rosalia and Antonio Somohano, her siblings Myron Josef (Helen), Mary Huff (William), and Rosalie Dickenson (William) Arlene was born in Flint, Michigan on June 14, 1941, a class of 1959 Flint Central High School alumnus, in 1986 she retired from Citizens Bank where she worked as a data entry clerk. She was a member of the Elkettes where she volunteered at craft fairs, crazy auctions and other projects. In retirement, she enjoyed the cabin life at Higgins Lake, snowbirding to Lake Havasu and traveling the world. She liked swimming, boating, fishing, snowmobiling, golfing, cross country skiing, rides in the desert, relaxing in the hot tub, playing cards and board games with friends and family. She rarely missed a chance to play bingo, she liked trying her luck on the slot machines, going out shopping with her girls to malls, craft shows and garage sales. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Elkette's Lodge #2399, Lake Havasu City, AZ Clothe the Children's fund. Services were entrusted to the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
