Published in Today's News Herald on Dec. 5, 2018 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona >> Kenneth James Jones << >> March 5, 1977 - October 30, 2018 << Kenny "Mofo" Jones of Lake Havasu was born in Apple Valley, Calif to Wendy Franke and Billy Jones. He grew up throughout the Inland Empire eventually moving to Parker, where he attended Parker High School, later receiving his GED. Then, in 1998, his 1st daughter was born. Kenny moved to Havasu in 2005, becoming a Chipping Supervisor for All Star Pool Plastering. In 2006 & 2010 he fought and beat testicular cancer. Later in 2010, his 2nd daughter was born. This past March, he went to the ER after not feeling well. He left shortly after with many unknowns yet they were sure cancer was on our doorstep again. After months of appointments & tests before any diagnosis was given, the words "Malignant Neoplasm Unspecified" came, meaning the cancer was so spread, no source could be determined. Although we quickly lost the battle, Kenny never lost his sense of humor. He could make you laugh like nobody I've ever met. Kenny was the best dad & left us with numerous amazing moments & memories. He was able to walk his niece, Autumn Banks (Muhlestein) down the aisle & walk in his best friend's wedding before getting his angel wings. He leaves behind his best friend and life partner, Kristin Stroup; daughters Jasmine Lynn & Brynn Morgan Jones; granddaughters Mariana & unborn baby girl, all of Lake Havasu; the parents that raised him who he loved very much: Wendy (Dan) Permann of Bullhead City, and Manuel (Cindy) Angel of Desert Hot Springs, Calif; combined siblings: Joseph, Kimberly, Vanessa, Christina, Becci, Rob, Lynn, Quetha, Manuel, Craig, Clinton, Cord & 3 adopted siblings that he always hoped to reunite with one day; many nieces, nephews, cousins & amazing friends. A celebration of Kenny's life and balloon release will take place at The Bar: 10172 Riverside Dr. Parker, AZ on December 9th, 2018 at 1:00pm AZ time. Donations to assist with Kenny's final wishes can be made directly or to his gofundme page, just search for "Kenny Jones Lake Havasu" |
