| Arizona Daily Star (Tucson, AZ) Monday, January 10, 2000, Page Six-Section A JOHNSON, Margaret J., age 82, of Epworth Heights, Michigan, died January 1, 2000 at the family winter home in Tucson, Arizona. She was born November 20, 1917 to Arlene (sic: Aline) and Harold R. Foster in Greenley (sic: Greeley), Colorado. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Clarence; a son, Dan F. Johnson of Freeport, IL; two daughters, Mary M. Lehnhard of Freeport, IL, Linda R. McMillen of Carbondale, IL; and two grandchildren; one brother, Thompson Foster of Sumter, South Carolina; and a sister, Jean Anthony of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Margaret attended school in Minneapolis and also became an accomplished figure skater. She joined the Ice Follies in 1936 when it was formed with local skaters and financed by parents and friends. The show was a huge success and was soon a family favorite in the United States and Canada. She traveled with the Follies until 1946 when she married and started a family. She was an active member in the Village Club, Infant Welfare, Memorial Hospital, the Episcopal Church guilds, The Winona C.C., La Grange C.C., Lincoln Hill C.C., and the Skyline C.C. The Epworth Golf Bags and the Puttering Place. A Family Service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church in Freeport, IL in early February and a Memorial Service this summer at the Epworth Church in Ludington, Michigan.
