Angel Cervantes, 73, passed away peacefully in his home with his loving family surrounding him on May 12, 2007. He was a longtime resident of Arizona. He was born to Angel and Alicia Cervantes on July 20, 1933, in Winslow, Ariz.

Angel graduated from high school in Ashfork, Ariz.; attended ASU; was a Humboldt Unified School board member and retired from the FAA in Prescott, Ariz.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a friend to many.

His greatest love was for his family and golf.

Angel is survived by his loving and caring wife, Irma, who never left his side for 45 years; his four children, Caroline Stutesman, Angel Cervantes Jr. (Peggy), Anthony Cervantes (Leanne), and Amelia Boyd (Andrew); his grandsons Matthew and Mitchell Boyd, Derek Stutesman, Anthony Cervantes and Angel and Nicholas Cervantes; his sisters Irena Lopez (Gilbert), Feliza Apodaca (Tomas), Amelia Cervantes, three nieces and three nephews and their children.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 17, 2007, from 5 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 W. Thunderbird Rd., Peoria, Ariz.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Jerome's Catholic Church, 10815 N. 35th Ave., Phoenix, Ariz.
