David Richard Shepherd

Dr. David Richard Shepherd, 65, of Mesa, passed away suddenly on March 6th, 2005 in Guangzhou, China. David was born on March 17, 1939, in Mesa Southside Hospital to Rulon Tracey and Genevieve Cooley Shepherd.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Annis; daughters Dannis Zazueta (Derek); Tregoney Shepherd, and Rhiannon Vincent (Ryan); and five grandchildren, Adam and Sebastian Zazueta, and Javin, Brynne, and Aidan Vincent. Also surviving are two brothers, Kenneth R. Shepherd and Douglas C. Shepherd, and one sister, Arlene Bateman (Maurice). He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Brynne Shepherd.

A Memorial service was held Saturday, March 19, 2005, at the Centennial Ward Building, 422 E. University Drive, Mesa, Arizona.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Mesa Arts Center Foundation, c/o Mesa Arts Center, P.O. Box 1466, Mesa, AZ 85211, and noted in memory of David R. Shepherd who loved music and the arts. Meldrum Mortuary handled the arrangements. Published in The Arizona Republic on 3/18/2005.
