KILBRIDGE, James X.
James X. Kilbridge, 77, of Carefree, AZ, passed away January 16, 2004. He was born January 18, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois, to Joseph and Lillian (Volker) Kilbridge.

James graduated from Loyola University Law School in Chicago, IL. He worked for the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Department of Treasury. James also worked for Litton Industries, Walter Kidde and Company, and the National Westminster Bank. He was a member of the Boulders Club and Our Lady of Joy Catholic Church.

Thankful for having shared in his life are his wife Ethel of Carefree, AZ; daughters, Nancy K. Pontier of Chesapeake, VA, Sally K. Payne of Pelham Manor, NY; sons, James X. Kilbridge, Jr. of Scorsdale, NY, John B. Kilbridge of Scottsdale, AZ; 3 brothers, Thomas Kilbridge of Hillsborough, CA, Joseph Kilbridge of MA, Reverend Robert Kilbridge of River Forest, IL and five grandchildren.

A visitation was held Monday, January 19, 2004 at Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary, 8555 E. Pinnacle Peak Rd., Scottsdale, AZ, with a scripture service starting at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass was held Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at Our Lady of Joy Catholic Church, 36811 N. Pima Rd., Carefree, AZ. Donations may be made in James's honor to Our Lady of Joy Catholic Church, PO Box 1359, Carefree, AZ 85377. Published in the Arizona Republic on 1/18/2004.
