Death Calls Young Woman

(From Saturday's Daily)

Sorrow and regret will follow the sad news that Mrs. Thomas Hicks, an
estimable lady of this city, has passed away. For many months a
diligent sufferer, she was taken to the Mercy hospital, a few days ago,
where it was decided to perform an operation, in the hope of prolonging
her life. To this she submitted, and from which she never rallied,
sinking gradually until the end came.

She was quite a young woman, not having reached her thirtieth year,
and from childhood had been a resident of the city, and was universally
beloved.

Surviving are her husband, and four daughters and one son, the youngest
child being only eighteen months of age.

She was a devoted wife and mother, and the tender sympathy of all is
extended the bereaved ones in their sorrow and affliction.

The remains have been in charge by the Ruffner Parlors and interment
will be had today.

Transcriber's note: Mrs. Hicks is buried at the Citizens Cemetery in
Prescott, Arizona.
