Barrett Albert Bailey, 70, of Cottonwood died February 2, 2003. He was born March 24, 1932 in Hackensack, New Jersey.

He was a retired owner of a sporting goods business.

A veteran of the Navy, he served as a naval aviator.

Mr. Bailey was a creative soul who was a pilot and built and restored aircraft. He was also a painter who also enjoyed woodworking.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Maxine Bailey of Cottonwood; three daughters, Kim Seaman, Fort Hills, Ariz., Meredith Lee Bailey, Santa Barbara, Calif. and Patricia Ann Bailey, Cave Creek, Ariz.; a son, Barret B. Bailey of Idaho; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Brian Scott Bailey.

There are no public services planned.
