| Hubert Eugene Whitaker Born in Los Angeles, California on Aug. 31, 1917. Departed on Feb. 9, 2003 and resided in Clarkdale, Arizona. Hubert Eugene Whitaker, 85, of Clarkdale died February 9. He was born August 31, 1917 in Los Angeles, California. He was a retired law enforcement officer who had worked as a prison guard. He was a member of Jehovah's Witness and was an avid reader and bible scholar. He also enjoyed camping and fishing and was a railroad buff. He will be remembered by his family as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He leaves a son and a daughter in law, Michael and Marlene Whitaker of Clarkdale; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. No public services are planned.
