State Resident 35 Years Dies

James Preston Hensley, 81 years old, an Arizonian 35 years and a Tempe resident 12 years, died yesterday morning in a local hospital after a brief illness. He suffered a stroke Saturday.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow by the First Church of Christ Scientist, of Phoenix in Memory Chapel of the A. L. Moore and Sons Mortuary. Interment will be in Greenwood Memorial Park.

Born in Chillicothe, Mo., Mr. Hensley was in the mining and cattle business in Colorado before coming to Arizona. He resided at 1145 1/2 Van Ness avenue in Tempe.

Survivors include two sons, J. Walter Hensley, of Tempe, and Rudolph H. Hensley of Laveen; two daughters, Mrs. Stella Pierce, of Tempe, and Mrs. Elnora Wright, of Chloride; and two grandchildren.

Funerla Arranged For James Henley

Funeral services for James Preston Hensley, 81, an Arizona resident for 35 years, will be conducted Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock from the Memory chapel of A. L. Moore and sons. Burial will follow in Greenwood.

A native of Missouri, Mr. Hensley came to Arizona in 1905 and had lived in Tempe for the past 12 years. He died Monday in a local hospital.

Survivors ar two sons. J. Walter Hensley, Tempe, and Rudolph H. Hensley, Laveen; two daughters, Mrs. Stella Pierce, Tempe and Mrs. Elnora Wright, Chloride, and two grandchildren.
