Maudelyn Nevada (Johnston) Gildenmeister - Whitley

Born in Elyria, Ohio on July 17, 1917.
Departed on Sept. 17, 2007 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona.

Maudelyn N. Whitley, known and loved as “Marge”, resident of Cottonwood, passed away on Monday, September 17, 2007 at the age of 90. Marge was born in Elyria, Ohio on July 17, 1917 to Albert Johnston, Jr., and Maude May (Burgan) Johnston.

Marge worked for Motorola; as well as being self-employed. She was most proud though, of being a homemaker. She was a faithful member of the Baptist faith.

She was an expert seamstress; having created many beautiful pieces of apparel and drapery. She was also a very talented artist; leaving to those she loved, many oil painting masterpieces, and spectacular works of ceramic.

Marge is preceded in death by her son, Eugene Gildenmeister; and her first and second husbands.

She was fortunate in finding love a third time with her loving husband of 8 years, Charles E. Whitley of Cottonwood. Marge also leaves behind her daughter, Sandra Dircks of Payson; two sisters, Ledora Biltz, husband Steve of Ariz., and Lillian Mollenkoph of Ohio; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
