Alfred Shupp died at his home in Skull valley last evening after an illness of several months.

Mr Shupp was one of Yavapai county's oldest as well as most exemplary citizens. He was one of the original Walker party who came to this section in 1862.

His death leaves only two of these old timers alive, S. C. Miller, of Prescott, and John Dickson, of Skull valley. Rev. C. K. Jenness, of the Methodist church, was called to Skull valley to conduct the funeral. He will remain there till tomorrow.
