Born in Big Rapids, Michigan on March 16, 1914.
Departed on July 25, 2006 and resided in Village of Oak Creek, Ariz.

Virtue B. Gerrish, 92, resident of Village of Oak Creek-Sedona, Arizona, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at her home.

Virtue was born on March 16, 1914 to Louis Joseph and Elsie (Bond) Bressin in Big Rapids, Michigan.

Virtue served her country during WWII as Lieutenant and Nurse for the United States Army.

Virtue enjoyed traveling, reading and golfing. She was a member of the Church of the Red Rocks in Sedona, Arizona.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard H. Gerrish; her sister, Bernice Minich; and her brother, Ernest Bressin.

She is survived by four nieces, Linda Cooley of Calif., Elaine Parachi of Mass., Kathryn Rowland and Patricia Gilbert both of Va.; seven nephews, Dennis Minich of Fla., Gary Minich of Mich., Michael Bressin of Va., Joseph Bressin of Fla., Harold Gerrish, Jr. of Calif., Stephen Gerrish of Id., and Glenn Gerrish of Hawaii; and her friend and caregiver, Cheryl Street, with her husband Jim of Camp Verde, Arizona.

There are no public services scheduled.
