Virginia Weldon Peterson, 88, resident of Sedona, AZ, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2006.

She was born in Arkansas on April 8, 1917 to D.L. and Jennie Sue (Fortner) Weldon.

Virginia attended the University of Tennesse where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Home Education with Teaching Creditials.

Virginia worked as a demonstrator for the University of California Extension Services and as a substitute teacher. She was also a life master in Duplicate Bridge. She loved playing bridge and enjoyed sewing needlepoint.

She is survived by her son, Nels Weldon Peterson of Ariz.; her daughter, Judith Sue Rehbeck, husband, Rory of Calif.; and granddaughter, Sara Jean Rehbeck.
