| Mary Huerta Martinez, 70, of Winkelman, passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix on Sunday, May 24, 2009. Born in Sonora on June 8, 1938, to Sebastian and Antonia Huerta, she was a lifetime resident of the Copper Basin area. A homemaker, she was a loving mother and grandmother; her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all. Survivors include her daughters, Laura Coria of Aravaipa, Laverne Bolden of Winkelman, and her niece, who she raised, Bonnie Mariscal of Kearny; her brother, Tony Huerta of Superior; and, sisters Cruzita Chavez and Pauline Montano of Winkelman, Josie Gonzalez, Lupe Bracamonte and Veva Carrillo of Kearny; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A Viewing and Funeral Services were held Friday, May 29, with the Rosary being said and Father Dale Branson celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Hayden. Interment followed at Valley View Cemetery in Mammoth. The family was assisted by Griffith Mortuary. |
