Sheila Rae Cerise of Kingman passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at Kingman Regional Medical Center. She was born Oct. 4, 1943, in Greeley, Colo., to Albert Banner Smith and Wanda Pearl Tipton.

She and her husband of 49 years, Richard H. Cerise, relocated to Laughlin, Nevada, from Saratoga, Wyoming, in 1989 when Sheila accepted the position of vice president of Laughlin National Bank. She and her husband purchased their home in Kingman a few years later where she retired after 10 years with the bank.

Sheila is survived by her husband, Richard H. Cerise; and their two children, her son Lane Cerise and spouse Tina and three grandchildren, Brittany, Zachary and Payden Cerise, all of Cedaredge, Colo., and her daughter Roxanna Radley of Golden Valley and two granddaughters, Jasper Ruth of Marion, Ohio, and Alecia Jones of Kingman. She is also survived by her mother, Wanda Tipton of Grand Junction, Colo.; her sister, Vicki Kolbert of Portland, Ore.; and her brother, Curtis Smith of Grand Junction.

Services were held on Wednesday, June 3, at Mountain View Cemetery, 1301 Stockton Hill Road. Memorial flowers can be sent to: 3841 Packard Ave., Kingman, AZ 86409. Sheila was loved and respected by all who knew her. She will be missed. Mom, you certainly were: Sheila Rae, the Brave.
