Lillian V. "007" Shaheen, of Scottsdale, born in Flint, Michigan, beloved sister and aunt, passed away December 16, 2000.

Her career in law enforcement began with the Phoenix Police Department. She was a deputy sheriff with Maricopa County Sheriff's Office. She became the first female police officer and detective for the city of Scottsdale. Her I.D. # was "007".

As coordinator of Scottsdale Youth and Adult Counseling Services her passion was devoted to helping those in need. She dedicated her life and services to countless individuals and community organizations. She was an active member of St. George Orthodox Church. She will be greatly missed by those she touched.

She was preceded in passing by her sister, Katherine; father, Fred, Sr.; and mother, Salena. She is survived by brothers, Fred, Jr. (Jeanne), Phoenix, AZ; Louie (Louise) Shaheen & Family, Lansing, Michigan; sisters, Nita Shaheen Korrey, Lansing, MI; Louise Shaheen Murphy & Family, Garden Grove, CA; nephews, Fred III, Michael, Philip, and Terry; and many many loving relatives.

Trisagion Service was held on Wed., Dec. 20, at Messinger Indian School Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd., Scottsdale, AZ. Funeral Service on Thurs., Dec. 21, at St. George Orthodox Church, 4530 E. Gold Dust Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85028-4221. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the church.
