The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona May 29, 2005 Henry F. Escalante, age 78, passed away on May 25, 2005 in Mesa, Arizona. Henry was a United States Navy Veteran and also a longtime valley school music teacher, for over 25 1/2 years teaching with the Isaac School District. Mr. Escalante was also a professional musician who was known for providing the music during the college games at the Fiesta Bowl each year. He is survived by his wife Bertha of Tempe, Sister Julia Escalante of Tempe, three Brothers, Ramon of Tempe, Joe and Stella Escalante of Sacramento, CA and Rubin and Joyce Moreno of Sacramento, CA, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a sister Olivia Bracomente and a brother Rocky Moreno. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday June 1, 2005 at the Church of the Resurrection Catholic Church, 3201 S. Evergreen Rd., Tempe. Interment at the St. Francis Cemetery. A Visitation and Rosary was held on Tuesday Evening May 31 at the Carr-Tenney Mortuary, 2621 S. Rural Rd. in Tempe who is in charge of arrangements. |
