| The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona March 22, 2003 Mary Benn Oswalt, 96, of Sun City Arizona left this earthly life on March 18, 2003 to live her heavenly life with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania on February 25, 1907 to Joseph and Bertha Benn. Mary graduated from Altoona High School and Shippensburg State Teachers College. Throughout her many years as an elementary school teacher she was a positive influence on the lives of countless children. She will be missed in this earthly life by her daughter and son in-law, Kay and Tom Gaylor, her grandchildren Tom Gaylor, Jr., his wife, Tamra and their children Alexis, Alysha, Ashleigh, Tyler, Christian, Genevieve and Gyllian and Deirdre Escalante, her husband Rick and their children Noah, Sebastian and baby girl Escalante due in June 2003. She was welcomed into Heaven by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, her husband, Clair Washington Oswalt, her infant son, her parents, two brothers, Cloyde and Wesley and one sister Mildred. A celebration of Mary's life was held on Monday, March 24, 2003, at Royal Oaks Care Center Chapel. Interment service at Sunland Memorial Park following her celebration service. Sunland Mortuary, Sun City, handled celebration arrangements. |
