Born in Kingfisher, Oklahoma on July 11, 1930.
Departed on May 3, 2006 and resided in Camp Verde, Arizona.

Oleva Mae Garcia, 74, resident of Camp Verde, Arizona passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2006.

She was born on July 11, 1930 to John and Lenora Long in Kingfisher, Oklahoma.

As a child she attended the Tigard Grade School and High School.

As an adult she worked as a bookkeeper for Maywood Acres Convalescent Hospital for 14 years. It was from Maywood Acres that she took her retirement.

Oleva was a member of the VFW and she enjoyed traveling and bowling.

She is preceded in death by her father, John J. Long.

She leaves behind her husband of 43 years, Raymond J. Garcia, of Camp Verde, Ariz.; her children, Michael Simon, Regina Simon and Denise Richardson, all of Oklahoma; her mother, Lenora Long of Oregon; two brothers James D. Long, wife, Donna, and Jerry Long, wife, Brenda, all of Oregon; her sister, Joyce Fragale, husband, Joe, of Ariz.; as well as, five grandchildren and several great and great-great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the VFW Building in Camp Verde, Arizona.
