Felica (Bessie) (Dominguez) Garcia Born in Belen, New Mexico on Jan. 15, 1925. Departed on Oct. 29, 2006 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona. Felica (Bessie) Garcia, 81, resident of Cottonwood, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2006. She was born on January 15, 1925 to Jose and Beatrice Dominquez in Belen, New Mexico, where she spent her childhood, adolescence, met and married the love of her life, Thomas B. Garcia, and started her family. After the birth of her first son, she and her small family moved to Arizona. While her family continued to grow, Bessie was fortunate to make her career as a mother, occasionally running a daycare for other children out of her home. To Bessie, family was precious. Bessie was known for her wonderful cooking. She enjoyed bingo, she loved going to the casino-but she loved winning even more! Her most favorite hobby was being a grandmother. Bessie is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Thomas B. Garcia; and her first born, Ray Garcia. She leaves behind her son, Dave Garcia, wife Nelly, Flagstaff; her daughter, Elizabeth Martinez, husband Andy, Cottonwood; her sister, Mary Trujillo, husband Emilio, Deming, New Mexico; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Private family services were held at the home of Elizabeth and Andy Martinez. An online guestbook is available at www.westcottfuneralhome.com Westcott Funeral Home, Cottonwood and Camp Verde, Arizona. |
