Guy Clayton Davis

Graveside services for Guy Davis were held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Louis B. Hazelton Cemetery.

A veteran of World War I, Davis died Thursday in the Phoenix Veterans Hospital where he had been for several months.

Davis was born in Pearsall, Texas, on Sept. 5, 1897. He had lived in Buckeye since 1929. He was forced to leave his work as a mechanic in 1953 by ill health.

Mrs. Davis was presented with the American flag by a member of the American Legion, at the burial.

Survivors include his wife, Mae; a son, Guy, Jr., of Buckeye; a daughter, Mary E. Davis, Van Nuys, CAlif., his mother, Mrs. Blanche Davis, Los Angeles; two sisters, Mrs. Sally Edwards, Los Angeles and Mrs. Mae Mesh, South Pasadena, Calif., also two brothers, Mack and Edward Davis of Los Angeles.
