| Published in Today's News-Herald from May 14 to May 15, 2019 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Viola Marie Douglas passed away April 12, 2019. She was born to Robert and Katherine Darrow on February 14, 1925 in rural area near Anamosa, Iowa. She attended schools in that area until the family relocated to Cedar Rapids, Iowa where she met her future husband Robert F. Douglas. They were married May 19, 1945 in Peoria, Illinois and after World War II ended, they made their home in Creve Coeur, Illinois. Due to Mr. Douglas promotions moved to Rock Island, Springfield and Rockford, Illinois. They were blessed with 3 Children and in 1968 moved to Lake Havasu, Arizona. Viola was employed at McCulloch Corporation and later joined her husband in operation of Desert Hills Market. Robert F. Douglas preceded Viola on September 7, 1990 and is survived by Donna L. DeBolt; Robert Michael Douglas and Mark S. Douglas. Viola will be buried alongside her husband Robert F. Douglas at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens, Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
