Julee Patterson

Patterson, Julee Ann
passed away on August 25, 2011 after battling cancer for several months. She was born July 7, 1972 to William R and Mary Renee Page Patterson. She graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in music. She was drum major for 2 years for the U of U Marching Band and thoroughly enjoyed playing drums. She taught music and band for 12 years both in Utah and Arizona. In 2004 she became a police officer for the city of Scottsdale. She devoted 7 plus years to this profession and totally loved it. She had a great and caring love for animals, especially her 3 favorites, Reio, Hogan and Abby. Preceded in death by her mother and sister Cathy Lee Gruendell, she is survived by her father and step-mother Sandy T. Patterson, 3 sisters, Cheri Walker, Tina (Mark) Dickinson, Mickey (Brett) Durffee, 3 brothers, Craig (Waree) Patterson, Steven (Vicki) Patterson, Cary (Lesa) Patterson, step sister Paula (Scott) Wright and step brother Scott (Janelle) Pritchett and several wonderful nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles. Also, a special thanks and love from Julee to a good and devoted friend, Ray Powell. A heartfelt recognition to all of Julee's close friends and the Scottsdale Police Department, which she considered her extended family. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 PM Tuesday and Funeral services 10:00 AM Wednesday at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E Indian School Road, Scottsdale, AZ. Further services and burial will be held in Bountiful, Utah. Memorial Contributions may be made to Best Friends Animal Shelter, 5001 Angel Canyon Road, Kanab, UT 84741. Julee says good-bye for now and thanks to all her friends and family with encouraging advice to carry on.
