Ricardo Lara, 74, of Flagstaff, died Sunday, March 15, 2009.

Mr. Lara was born in 1935. He moved to Flagstaff from El Paso, Texas, in 1971. He enjoyed reading books, working in the yard and spending time with his family. He was active, and his wonderful sense of humor will be missed by all. Mr. Lara is survived by his wife of 36 years, Guadalupe Lara; sons Juan Lara of Flagstaff, and Sergio (Tracy) Lara of Mesa; daughters Marta Lara of Virginia Beach, Va., Soledad Lara of Camp Verde and Armida Lara of Flagstaff; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother; and five sisters.

A service will be Thursday at 6 p.m. at Norvel Owens Mortuary Chapel, 914 E. Route 66. Condolences may be left for the family at www.norvelowensmortuary.com.
