Lillian P. (Thorsell) Hodges

Lillian P. Hodges died in Seattle, Wash. May 18, 2009 after fighting cancer complicated by dementia.

Lillian lived in Seattle only 10 months while her daughter and son-in-law, Anny and Wally Walberg, took care of her in their home.

She was born in Duluth, Minn. on Aug. 20, 1921. Beginning in 1963, she resided in Richfield, Minn. and was a member of Hope Presbyterian Church.

In 1987 she married Edwin Hodges, moved to Bloomington, Minn. and became a snowbird, spending time each winter in Fountain Hills. They attended Christ’s Church of Fountain Hills.

She is survived by her daughter, Ann (Wally) Walberg; brother, Richard (Eleanore) Thorsell; five nieces and nephews; seven grand nieces and nephews; and friends too numerous to mention by name.

Lillian knew you all and loved you greatly.

A memorial service was held June 12 at Hope Presbyterian Church in Richfield, Minn.; private interment at Dawn Valley Memorial Park.

Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association or any local hospice. Arrangements were with Washburn-McReavy Dawn Valley Chapel, (952) 941-7686.
