Illness Claims Pioneer Woman
Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Braswell, Arizona pioneer and for many years active in the Church of God here, died Saturday night after a three-day illness in her home at 757 1/2 East Adams street. She was 93 years old.
Funeral services will be announced later.
In 1876 she married the late James Braswell and six years later they came to Arizona from their native state of Virginia.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Audrey R. Dennis, San Francisco, Calif.; Mrs. Emma Hodge, Glendale; John W., Mead, Wash.; Edward C. Braswell, Ontario, Ore.; 26 grandchildren and 54 great-grandchildren.
