Published in the Daily Miner on Sept. 14, 2019 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - On Aug. 15, 2019 Richard Allen Grant passed away at the age of 77. Richard was born on Nov. 22, 1941 in Huntington, West Virginia and in 1955, his family moved to Santa Paula, California. In 1963, he served in the United States Army. In 1974, he and his family moved to Kingman, Arizona where he worked for the City Water Department for 28 years. Richard, also known as Dick or Dickie, was a dear friend to many, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife Ellen Marie Grant (Bright); father; Ira Clovis Grant; mother Wilma Dean Grant, (Sabree) and brother Eddie Grant. He is survived by his sister Shelley Edwards, brother Willam Grant; daughters Linda Joy Mayberry and Heidi Rene Grant (Diaz); son Kevin Lee Grant Sr.; grandsons Kevin Lee Grant Jr. and Nicholas Sean Grant; granddaughters Stacey McDaniel, Brandy Lynn Pettigrew and Megan Ann Daly; and great-grandsons Julian Jose Cervantes and Luciano Javier Cervantes. A Celebration of Life will be held Sept. 28, 2019 at Black Bridge Brewery from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. |
