Rites Tomorrow For Jane Coles, Arizonan Since 1883

Solemn requiem high mass for Mrs. Jane Catherine Coles, who died Wednesday in her home, 217 W. Lamar Rd., will be sung at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4715 N. Central.

Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in the church. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery.

Mrs. Coles, a native of England, went to Tombstone during its heyday in 1883 and in 1902 married Frank E. Coles. Later, she moved to Bisbee, where her seven children were born. She came to Phoenix in 1925.

Mrs. Coles was a member of Sodality of St. Francis Parish, Good Shepherd Guild, and St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary.

In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, James H., Phoenix, and Hubert M., La Jolla, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. James T. O'Neill and Loretto Coles, both of Phoenix, and Mrs. John Collins, San Francisco; a sister, Mrs. Mary A. Daly, Stockton, Calif.; 28 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Whitney and Murphy Funeral Home, 330 N. Second Ave., is in charge of arrangements.
