Kenneth L. Heil, a beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Aug. 14, 2019 after a long illness. Kenneth was born on July 5, 1936 in Minnesota to August and Mryl Heil.

His family moved to California and Ken graduated from Pasadena City College in 1956. He went to work for the fire department in Alhambra, California for 35 years, retiring with the rank of Battalion Chief. Kenneth married Susanna (Sue) C. Henry in 1981.

Ken and Sue split their time between Wickenburg and Jarbridge, Nev., after retirement. Ken was acting fire chief in the town of Jarbridge, volunteer fire department and was a special deputy sheriff for Elko County, Nev.

On his days off from being a fireman, he was a house painter, painting both residential and commercial buildings in California, Wickenburg and Jarbridge.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters, and his son, Doug.

Ken is survived by his wife of 38 years; Sue Heil, his two daughters; Linda Gilmore and Susan Heil, daughter-in-law; Patti Heil, his sister; Phyllis, brother; Roger, his seven grandkids and one great- grandchild. Ken was respected and loved by many. His extended family includes seven stepchildren and many grandchildren.

Kenneth Heil was a very good man and will be missed by many.
