Joycelin Joan Beers, 77, passed away May 24, 2009, in Prescott, Ariz., after a long illness, with her family at her side. She was born on Aug. 23, 1931, in St. John's, Mich., the daughter of Raymond and Nina (Viges) Lee. She was known as Joyce, Mother or Mema.

She moved to Prescott in 1970 where she enjoyed her life until the end of days. She married William H. Beers in 1971. She had three children and one stepchild to whom she was a loving mother. She was well-known by many people in Prescott as a real estate broker/owner of Beers Realty Inc. Later she applied her talents in the private fiduciary field.

Many family and friends knew that she loved gardening and produced the most amazing roses, irises and many other flowers. When she wasn't in her garden you could always find her down on the square enjoying the beauty of Prescott or giving everyone around her great memories with her bubbly personality.

She is survived by her brother, Ray Lee; sons Gary R.C. Young and Stephen Pasqualetti; daughter April Lind Holm; stepdaughter Billy Lou Manzullo; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Joycelin's life will be at 3 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2009, Heritage Memory Mortuary, 131 Grove Ave., Prescott, Ariz.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the charity of your choice.
