It is with heartfelt sympathy that we announce the passing of a
beautiful woman - Claudia Ryan. Claudia was born in Wurzburg,
Germany, moved to the United States in 1970, and then on to Arizona in
1977.

Her love for people and her generous heart pushed her to help start
the AIM’s Paramedic Program in Arizona, which involved visiting the
fire departments and doing ride-alongs to evaluate protocols for the
new program. After moving to Lake Havasu, she continued her work in
the medical field as a receptionist in the HRMC ER Department.

She married Tim Ryan in 1997 and was warmly accepted into a loving and
open family which was a new experience for her. She was greatly moved
to accept the responsibility of being a stepmother and a friend to
Tim’s sons and her step-son Travis Clark. Tim’s 31 years at the LHC
Fire Department also opened up a different kind of family for Claudia.
She got so much joy spending time with both families and was able to
open her heart to share with many. Claudia was also a great business
partner for Tim, helping run their pressure washing business and Ski-
High Crane. Claudia was also a member of the Eagles.

Claudia’s biggest passion and most rewarding pastime was browsing
through thrift stores, garages sales, and auctions, anywhere at any
time. She also had a great love for dogs, having adopted many
wonderful pups over the course of her life. She took exceptional care
of her mother for several years while her mother lived with Claudia
and Tim. Claudia loved translating for her German-speaking mother
because it gave her an opportunity to practice her native tongue.

Claudia had her own style that was loved and adored by all who met
her. She was a unique and always loving individual. Traveling was
special to her, whether to her homeland or just cruising the USA by
RV. She enjoyed all these things until COPD limited her mobility, but
Claudia still stood tall even in the most trying of times, sharing her
love, her poems, and her little gifts she always had for everyone.

Claudia is leaving behind her husband, Tim Ryan; step-sons, Nathan
Ryan, Nick Ryan, and Travis Clark; cousin, Arnold of the Konrad family
in Germany, and her extended family on the Ryan side.

A Mass is being held at Our Lady of The Lake Church on Friday,
December 13th at 1:00pm with a “Celebration of Life” immediately after
in the Holy Family Parish Hall behind the church.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations in Claudia’s name
to Havasu Humane Society.

Services were entrusted to the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
Thought and condolences can be sent to the family at www.lietz-
