Mrs. Gregoria Hernandez, 76, passed away Monday, April 3, 2006 at Life Care Center of Yuma after suffering a severe stroke on Monday, March 20, 2006. She was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico on November 28, 1929.

Grandma Goya or Gojita, as she was lovingly called by her family and friends, lived in New York City and just recently moved to Yuma to be close to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her three children, Nancy Ellin-Edwards, Isaias Ellin, and John M. Santos; five grandchildren, Jesus Ellin, Heather Ellin, Isaias M. Ellin, Brandy Ellin, and Jeffrey Ellin; four great-grandchildren, Denisia Ellin, Jesus Ellin, Joseph Federico, and Orlando Frederico.

The wake and rosary will be at Johnson Mortuary on Thursday, April 6, 2006 from 6pm-9pm.

Funeral services will be at Immaculate Conception on Friday, April 7, 2006 at 10 a.m. Father Joe Marie will officiate.

Her final resting place will be Our Lady of Guadalupe Garden at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers are Isaias M. Ellin, Jeffrey M. Ellin, Jesus A. Ellin, Michael J. Edwards, Johnnie O. Arviso, and Robert L. Arviso.

Honorary pallbearers are P.C. Arviso and Gilbert Ponce.
