Vedenia "Dee" May Macias, 82, peacefully passed away in the early morning on May 29, 2009, after a long and tenacious battle against a terminal illness.

Vedenia is predeceased by her father, mother and sister. She is survived by family she adored including her husband, with whom she would have celebrated 63 years of marriage on June 29th; her teacup poodle; two daughters and sons-in-law; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She will be fondly remembered for summers spent at the lake and beach, large family barbecues with homemade, old-fashioned hand-cranked ice cream, Japanese lunches, penny and nickel slots and the pride and love she had for her family.

Vedenia was a resident to many places in California, Idaho, Texas and Arizona.

Vedenia was laid to rest on June 2, 2009, at Heritage Memorial Park in Dewey, Ariz.

The family would request donations be made in her name to Children's Charities of America.
