| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, June 04, 2009 Neil A. Hoekstra, 70, of Dewey, Ariz., born Jan. 9, 1939, in Blue Island, Ill., passed away June 2, 2009, in Phoenix, Ariz. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Sunrise Funeral Home Chapel. Sunrise Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements ------------------------------------- Friday, June 05, 2009 Neil A. Hoekstra, 70, of Dewey, Ariz., passed away unexpectedly on June 2, 2009. He was born Jan. 9, 1939, to Andrew and Kate (Stam) Hoekstra of Blue Island, Ill. He moved from Illinois to Phoenix, Ariz., in 1970, then to Dewey, Ariz., in 1996, where he enjoyed exceptional views and climate. He is survived by his wife, Linda Hoekstra (Urban); sons Lee Hoekstra and Brian Hoekstra and wife Rochelle and their children, Catherine and Christine; and daughter Laurel Jones and husband Darrick and their children, Arron and Kevin. He is also survived by his brother Ray Hoekstra, and sisters Joan Van Beveren and Kay Yunker. He will always be remembered as a proud, loving and devoted husband, father, brother and grandfather who strongly valued family, friends and good conversation. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2009, at Sunrise Funeral Home Chapel. Sunrise Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
