Mark Louis Painter

Mark Louis Painter, 50, beloved son of Bob and Sharon Painter, passed away on June 5, 2009, in Phoenix, Ariz. Mark was born in Lansing, Mich., on Sept. 15, 1958, but moved to Phoenix with his parents in 1964. Mark spent his formative years in Phoenix. Following high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he served honorably for three years, most of which was spent on duty in Germany.

Following his discharge from the Army, Mark relocated to the home of his birth, Lansing, Mich., where he spent many years as a machinist and shift supervisor for a manufacturing firm.

Because of ill health, Mark had recently returned to Arizona.

He is survived by his parents, Bob and Sharon Painter of Prescott; brother Bret Painter (Justine) of Los Alamos, N.M.; grandmother Ruby Painter of Wyoming, Mich.; aunt Darla Staviski of Phoenix, Ariz.; aunt and uncle Marcia and Fred Nichols of Wyoming, Mich.; and niece and nephew Shea and Joshua Painter.

The family was assisted by Messinger Mortuaries and Chapels. Services were June 10, 2009, at Messigner Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Road, Scottsdale, Ariz.
