John Rex Blankenship Born in Sheffield, Alabama on April 16, 1929. Departed on July 18, 2004 and resided in Sedona, Arizona. John Rex Blankenship, 74, of Sedona, Arizona died on Sunday, July 18th. He was born in Sheffield, Alabama on April 16, 1929. Mr. Blankenship was a veteran having served in the United States Air Force. He was a retired engineer, having worked in the aerospace industry for McDonnell Douglas. Mr. Blankenship is survived by two sons and their wives: Steven and Paula Blankenship, Cottonwood, Ariz.; John and Carolyn Blankenship, Pleasantville, N.Y.; a daughter, Kristen and Edward Barnett, Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters: Barbara Windsor, Miss.; Grace Atchley, Ala.; a brother, Lincoln Blankenship, Ala. and seven grandchildren. Westcott Funeral Home of Cottonwood, is assisting the Blankenship Family with arrangements. No public services have been planned.
