The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg,AZ Wednesday, May 20,2020, pg A-5 Diane Lee Bell Aug. 8, 1929 ~ May 15, 2020 Diane Lee Bell was born in Paulding, Ohio, on Aug. 8, 1929, and passed away on May 15, 2020, in Surprise. She was a 1947 graduate of Wickenburg High School. Diane settled in Morristown, where she raised a daughter, Cherry Waters, and a son, Justin Waters. Diane and her family established and ran a cactus seed business in Morristown. She was a mail clerk in Morristown for many years and the post master of Jerome for over a decade. Diane was an artist and enjoyed being a part of the art co-op in Jerome. Her artistic talents included creative writing, photography, painting and sketching. Diane loved cats, dogs, operas and rodeos. She was preceded in death by her daughter Cherry Waters. Diane is survived by her son Justin Waters; grandson Michael Waters; granddaughters Nancy (Bixler) McPeepers and Diane Lewis; great-granddaughters Jada and Jordan Waters, Danica Lewis, and Hillary (Lewis) Mattson. The family wishes to thank Esther Atanmo, owner of Angel’s Real Home Care in Surprise, for the love and care shown to Diane for the last six years. She was truly a friend to Diane.
