Departed on Oct. 5, 2004 and resided in Sedona, Arizona.

Phyllis P. Kettler, 91, of Sedona, died October 5. She was born May 9, 1913 in Bedford, New Hampshire.

She attended Huntington Park High School in California and graduated from Whittier College (where she was a friend of Richard Nixon).
Mrs. Kettler retired from the personnel office at the University of California at Riverside. She previously worked at Plumb Tool as Personnel Director.

She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Mayflower Society. A lover of animals, she also painted and did needlework.

Surviving are two stepsons, Bruce Kettler and Robert Kettler; a step-sister Ola Florence Jobe.

There are no public services planned. Donations in her memory may be made to the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, 5001 Angel Canyon Drive, Kanab, Utah, 84741-5001.
