COOLIDGE - Robert Slinkard, 80, of Coolidge died Nov. 3, 2006. The service was held Thursday at Valley of the Sun Mortuary in Chandler. Mr. Slinkard was born Jan. 15, 1926 in Chaffee, Mo., to Truman and Mabel Slinkard. He joined the Marine Corps after graduating from high school and served in World War II and the Korean War. He later graduated from Ottawa University and was a financial manager for the state of Arizona before retiring in 1991. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn; seven children, Bobby, Amy, Jackie, Lynne, Steve, Mike and David; a brother, Topper; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
