Andrew R. Cassens Born in Chicago, Illinois on Dec. 1, 1933. Departed on May 8, 2003 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona. Andrew R. Cassens, 69, of Cottonwood died May 8, 2003. He was born December 1, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois. He and his parents moved to Phoenix in 1951. Andrew graduated from Phoenix College in 1960 and in September 1962 he joined the Phoenix Police Department and retired after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #2 for many years. Andrew was an avid clock collector and restorer. He was a member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors fro 40 years. He was considered as an ''Old Timer'' by that organization. He is survived by his wife, Margaret of 30 years, his son Christopher as well as his sisters Marilynn Bottorf and husband, Alan of Santa Maria, Calif.; and Connie Darrow, Kurt of Littleton, Colo. and several nieces and nephews. His parents, Fred and Mary Helen Cassens preceded him in death, as did his first wife Eleanor, a sister Carolyn and brother Tom. A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, May 15 in the Westcott Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
