Published in Today's News Herald on Feb. 17, 2021 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Dolores "Dee" Allen Elgines, 83, of Lake Havasu City, passed away in her home on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021. Dolores was born in Pleasant Shade, Tennessee on July 14, 1937; daughter of Webb and Wynell Duke. She graduated from high school and went on to take some college courses in accounting. On Aug. 30, 1974 Dolores married the love of her life, Robert Elgines (USAF) in Oklahoma City. Together in Glendale, Arizona they raised their eight children. Dolores worked as an escrow officer and computer analyst for Trans American Title/Continental /Chase in Phoenix. They retired and moved to Lake Havasu City in 1990. She was a NARFE state and Havasu chapter officer. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, cruising, computers, NARFE, collecting cookbooks, and restaurant menus. Dolores is survived by her husband, Robert; children, Bert, Dorie, Lori, Mike, Cory, Dave, Glenn, and Dan, 15 grandchildren, 15 great- grandchildren, and her brother, Roger Duke. She is preceded in death by her parents and grandsons, Kelly and Justin. Dee was loved by all, especially her smile. Thoughts and condolences may be sent to www.mohavememorial.com.
